Happy New Year everyone!  Hope 2013 treats you kindly.

GREEN GOBLIN by Christopher Yao

Here is what I think is my last drawing of 2012. The wacky, the airborne, the fashionable Green Goblin.

Hope you have a happy and prosperous New Year, guys! :)

UNCANNY X-MAS by Daniel Wong

Technically not an X-men, but I'm pretty sure he joined them at least once or twice in one story arc or another....so in my mind, that qualifies.

Intended to be a quick speed-paint exercise, but turned into a 5 hour affair.

Have a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.  I hope Santa is good to you this year.

Wolverine executes simple logic vs. crochety old-school seniors.

Happy Holidays and best wishes for the new year to all my fellow Spitballers!

Uncanny X-Mas by David Cutler

I've been pretty busy this holiday season so I'm using this snowy Wolverine illustration I did last month for my Christmas post. I'm sorry.

UNCANNY X-MAS by Ryan Bullard

Magneto, the Master of Magnetism himself, wishes you and yours peace and good tidings this Christmas season. Then again, he's Jewish.. and a murderer...and a mutant terrorist..

I'd think twice about opening those colourful gifts if I were you. Just sayin.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone out there in wilds of the interweb!

-Ryan.

The radio says there's a 70% chance of flurries tomorrow. Merry Christmas!

STAR TREK by Neil Tavares

So this week was my pick.  I have to say, that even though I watched TNG as a kid, I was never really into it.  The draw of Wookies and Astro droids was too strong.  After watching the New 2009 movie, this brought about a new curiosity with Star Trek.  Now I have been re-watching TNG as well as the original television show.  It's so much bloody fun, I tell you.

P.S Yes Riker's Beard is all kinds of Man, and you are lesser for not having one like his.

P.P.S No I'm not going to tell you which of the Captains I like more. Ha ha.

STAR TREK by meaghan carter!

Star Trek: doing fan service way before it was cool!

STAR TREK VOYAGER by Marcus To

Hey guys! Our friend Marcus To was so excited about us doing a Star Trek week, he specifically asked us if he could submit his own spitball piece! He's a Voyager fan, and decided to do up Tom and Harry- with a bit of Doc in the background! Thanks for Marcus!!

WILLIAM T. RIKER by Melanie Schultz

Number One, deep in thought. I'm a big fan of vintage sci-fi cover art so that was my inspiration for this.

STAR TREK by Daniel Wong

I have to cheat this week and pull out a sketch I did earlier this year at the Polaris sci-fi convention.  Hope y'all like.

MR. SPOCK by Ken House

I love that there's an action hero for detached, awkward or overly rational-minded folk. You're an inspiration Mr. Spock!

SMOOCH TREK by Frances Lee

It's been a while since we had a guest post, but it's still a thing we do! This one's from the wonderful Miss Frances Lee! You can check out her work here, it's quite good.

SCOTTY by Christopher Yao

So I thought I would be pretty intimidated by the subject of Star Trek. But then I had a revelation. I would speak from personal degrees of separation. My Grandmother had the awesome luck of being classmates with good ol' Jimmy Doohan in grade school (she said he was a pretty cool cat). Anyway, what better character to render. He's always had some of the best comedic personality of all the cast of the original series, which made this pic all the easier. Done again in Sketchbook Pro, with a helping hand from Photoshop for the text.

LT. UHURA by David Cutler

Star Trek week! As a very young boy I used to watch TOS reruns Saturday afternoons on the CBC, so while I essentially know nothing about the program I still manage to have a decent amount of affection for it. I'm the kind of Star Trek fan who doesn't know Uhura's first name and really liked the J. J. Abrams reboot. The hated kind, I guess.

WRECK-IT RALPH by Neil Tavares
