HARRY POTTER by Ken House

It's Harry Potter week, or was, as I've severely missed the deadline.

As you probably know, Hp was created by the brilliant mathematician, J.K. Rowling, who lived alone for years slaving over an equation that her contemporaries believed was unsolvable. According to legend, a scorned landlord's brandishing of a broomstick in anger triggered a eureka moment and at last the equation was solved. Thus was born the scientifically perfect story, Harry Potter!

He's fun to draw too!

HARRY POTTER by Neil Tavares

Ok, so I am having comp problems for the time being. I need to get my power core replaced after the puppy chewed the thing. So here is the line work for now. I will post the colour later on.

Enjoy

LUNA LOVEGOOD by Karly MacDonald

Hey Spitballin' thanks for having me on this week! I jumped at the chance to draw my favorite characters from the Harry Potter series, the spacey yet adorable Luna Lovegood along with a Threstal--the eerie and often misunderstood death horse. This illustration was a whole lot of fun from beginning to end and a nice way to make my own peace with the ending of the series.

Karly McDonald is an awesome local animator and illustrator, working as a character designer and background paper for 9 Story Entertainment. You can see her work in the recent Pound Puppies revival. She's also a great friend and a good dentist, too.

HARRY POTTER by David Cutler

This weekend, Harry Potter plays out his happiest of sad moments: the premier of the final film in his long running and lucrative franchise. So in tribute, Neil Tavares is treating us to Harry Potter week here at Spitballin'. My knowledge of Harry Potter lore goes about as deep as Brad Neely's brilliant book on tape over-dub Wizard People, Dear Reader, but it's my understanding that the HP is a veritable weapon of the gods, a destroyer of worlds with stockpiles of nuclear-level energy, a whirl laced with rivers of wizardly blood--and who can argue with that?

Coloured this on the quick, but I kind of enjoy it all the same. Fun pick, Neil!
